"My greatest moment while ministering with the St. John's family was when we hosted the diocese convention.
Their commiment of hospitality to their fellow Episcopalians exemplified their natural ability and desire to serve others.
It was a "3 day moment" which God used both that incredible facility and faithful people as vessels in the fullest sense."

I have been a member of St. John’s since 2000. I was attracted to St. John’s on day one by the warm welcome I got. I immediately felt as if I belonged.
My wife Carmen and I have two grown children. Our son Daniel is on active duty serving with the NC guard in Iraq. Like many of my fellow parishioners, I also have a connection with Fort Bragg as a retired First Sergeant.
My particular love is with the older youth, especially those in the J2A and YAC programs. I have accompanied them on two pilgrimages, one to Italy and one to Canada.
Both Carmen and I serve as altar guild members. We also have a passion for the farm workers ministry in Newton Grove, and I serve as an Operation Inasmuch coordinator for the church.

Our Vision
Our traditional Episcopal parish aspires to be a fount of spiritual renewal, a place of reflection and an instrument of God’s work in our local community, our diocese and the world, while honoring the history and heritage that make us who we are. |
 |
Almighty God, giver of all good gifts, unite us in love and open our hearts and minds to your voice. Grant us patience, confidence, and understanding to discern your will for St. John’s. Through your divine guidance, direct the person who will become our next rector to hear your call and to walk with us in living faith. All this we humbly ask in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen |
