Volunteer Opportunities

St. John's encourages all of its members to take advantage of its numerous volunteer opportunities, both within the church and in the community.  Please study the church's committee structure (Click Here) and contact the church office or the appropriate vestry representative to learn more about volunteer opportunities in which you may be interested.  To find email links for vestry members, Click Here.

St. John’s Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal parish established in 1817 and has continued its service and ministry to the Fayetteville community for over 190 years.

We are located just two blocks north of the Market House at 302 Green St. in downtown Fayetteville and are across the street from the Post Office and the Systel Building. To view a map to St. John's, Click Here.

While our parish has a rich history and many lifelong Fayetteville residents among our parishioners, we also have many retired and active-duty Army and Air Force personnel who attend. We take our ministry to the military very seriously and are always seeking new ways in which we can be helpful to the families of those who are serving locally or have been deployed.

Prayer List

The healing power of prayer must never be underestimated in our daily lives.  Any parishioner who either has or knows of a special prayer need is encouraged to contact the parish secretary and have their name added to the parish prayer list.  Names will remain on the list for a period of up to thirty days.

We are a growing parish with an exceptionally strong preschool and church school, along with a fabulous youth program.

Among these pages are descriptions of many of our programs, which offer a wide array of opportunities to be involved at St. John's. We invite you to come and check us out! If you are not already one of us, we would love for you to become part of our loving family at St. John’s.
